From experience, would anyone know the importance of the thickness (or otherwise) of envelopes?

Our 'Oscars' are due on Friday (Habs Boys and MT) and it would be helpful to know to prepare for our 'opening of envelope' ceremony.....!

In my experience the thicker the better. An offer includes contracts and various forms. Good luck!

Fat a4 envelope means acceptance n a5 or smaller means rejection. Best of luck

If I remember correctly Habs boys and MT send big envelopes if there is an offer, I think with MT there is even a letter about the following year's ski-ing trip too.

I thought results were out on Thursday! Our John lyon envelope avec academic scholarship was a5 envelope.

We had one fat A5 though, that was an offer. Nearly gave me a heart attack!

AML, I understand that the offers are being posted on Thursday, so we will have to wait a day (torture!). That is, providing the GPO or whatever it all is nowadays, gets its act together and doesn't deliver our precious envelopes to darkest Peru.....

I shall now go and prepare my acceptance speech (thinking positively, you see.....!)........

I now know that A4 looks good, fat looks good, A5 fat could be good but skinnyminnies of whatever variety will make my stomach sink (but bank balance soar...?). No, I didn't really write the sentence in parenthesis.

I will post size of envelopes on Friday (doubtless with tears running down my face but will they be of joy or .......?).
