The scholarships are 10% or 15% I think.

Thank you Mad,

I am keen to understand how the 11 plus works at CLC. I am aware that they do not do Non verbal.
Do you have an idea what their test is like? Will the test be similar to grammar school 11plus?
Also has anyone applied for CLC bursary?
Thanks in advance

If you’re asking about a bursary for the upcoming admissions round then you should contact the school ASAP as applications are normally started very early in the process.

The deadline for Beale Award applications for 2021, and for Year 9 in 2022, has now passed. We welcome enquiries for Year 7 and 12 in 2022, and for Year 9 in 2023. The deadline for these applications is 1st May 2021.

Thank you Mitasol,

With Beale award, do you have any idea of level of salary someone might be eligible for bursary? I have asked but have not been told. I am just wondering.

Thanks

Hi Imdrill82

The Beale Award amount varies from a small amount to a large amount, depending on finances!! If the school like the girl and want them at the school, they will make sure it is possible. I don't know the salary level, but I know that there are girls on bursaries which I was surprised by as their lifestyle / income would suggest that they wouldn't qualify (it may be that they were partial ones though). It's always worth asking / trying if you're not sure.

From what I remember, the entrance exams were similar to grammar - we certainly used the normal grammar practice tests. They don't release any papers before or after, or give scores.

Thank you very much Pants,

Our total income before taxes is not over 50k. So I will give it a goal. There is no harm trying.
My daughter is doing 11 plus so good to know it will help. CCL did say the are looking for potential and not polished students so fingers crossed
