Pen or pencil? Creative writing

Post by Mum2boys9 »

If anyone can help, would be much appreciated. Ds is sitting for some independents in Jan and the letter states to bring both a pencil and pen. For the creative writing are the children informed or do they have a choice? If the latter, do the markers have a preference?
Many thanks in advance for any replies x

It is really the personal choice of the student.

I know of students who prefer to write in pencil so they can change things but it is easy to change things using arrows and stars.

Both my dds always wrote in pen.

You could perhaps say it shows a more confident student who writes in pen but it is the content that really matters not the pen or pencil. There would be no penalty at all either way. DG
