Successful applicants have been sent a letter confirming that their daughter has passed and is being invited to sit the entrance examinations on Monday 8th January in English, Maths and Comprehension.

The letter also confirms that results will be out on Wednesday 17th January and interviews ( if offered) will be the week commencing Monday 22nd January.

Final results will be posted on Thursday 8th February and for those offered a place deposits are required before noon on Monday 5th March.

It is so helpful to have all these dates in advance in one letter.

I thought the same DAOgroupie. They are very specific, no ambiguity.

Do we know how many they are taking through to the January exams?

Does anyone know roughly what % get invited back for an interview? DD sat the exam yesterday and seem to enjoy it.... no idea how that relates to getting through to the next stage.
There seemed to be so many taking the exam I couldn't really guesstimate how many took the exam in the first place!

My DD took the exam as well on Monday. She enjoyed the whole day experience at the school and said it was more relaxed then the other exams she took. I would guesstimate between 250-350 girls that took the exam yesterday based on how full the Sports hall was and how big the queue for collection behind me. Then again it is just that a guessed estimate :)

Please tell her not to be too hard on herself. My daughter didn't finish that section last year either and she's started SPGS this year.

Last year I think there were around 450 applicants for the second round, and maybe 180 were interviewed. There is different sitting for girls applying from abroad.

Thanks nylon14! I'm curious about the next stage and the odds of getting through. I'm proud of her for getting to the exam stage! A few girls from our school didn't get through the pretest.... I'd say the 450 number sitting the exam seems about right.

Lovelywin - my DD didn't finish that paper either. I assume (guessing again) there are more questions than are possible in the time available? (or maybe if you're a total maths genius you can get them all!)

At least its a short time to wait to find out about the interviews. Fingers and toes crossed lovelywin and squareofthewicket and another thank you nylon14 for the heads up.

My DD also enjoyed the day! She said the papers were challenging as expected. I estimated there to be around 450 - 500 girls. Do we get a letter regardless next week or if you're not successful do you just hear in the February along with everyone else?

Good to hear that the test writing experience was positive.

If the practise is the same as the last few years, the letter on 17th will say whether your DD is invited or not invited for the interview.

All the best!
