Do they call for scholarships places today only or for all interviews?

Just received a call from Forest
My son has got an interview.

Was it for a scholarship or an interview for full-paying place?

Forest have only so far called for interview those who did well enough to be considered for a scholarship place. Doesn’t matter if you didn’t apply for one, if you were in the top percentile then they have offered the interviews. Sport and Music scholarship assessments are also next week. They will invite all other children who did well enough for a place but not being considered for scholarship next week.

The wait is awful. This is our first choice after DS didn’t get into Latymer where his sister goes. Can’t wait for all this to be over.

We have had no calls today but now wondering how it would work for us . We received an email on Monday inviting my daughter for the sports assessment day next Friday. I was hoping that she would also be invited for the academic scholarship had she done well enough in the test but that would have meant two visits to the school in the same week. How would it work if a child had performed well in the test and in the top percentile and also applied for the sports scholarships. Do forest ever offer double scholarships?

My understanding, Ronoli14, is that Forest only offer up to 50% fee remission for a scholarship of any sort and only if you are offered a scholarship place can you then apply for a bursary award, which can be up to 100% fee remission.

I don’t know how they work it for interview purposes for those that are coming g for the sport and music assessments next week but have also done well enough for an academic scholarship. It would seem silly to see them twice but I don’t know if they are doing anything other than the assessment of sporting/musical potential on those days or whether there is an interview too. You may still be in the running for both types of scholarship award. Finger’s crossed for you.

Hello all

So we have now had our scholarship interviews for both schools. The wait for results is by far the worst bit. So proud of my daughter, whatever happens she has done so well.

Is it 15th of Feb we should be expecting results in the post?

I believe Forest posts it first class on the 15th, so the letters should arrive by the next day.
