I have a home visit on Thursday for a potential SPGS bursary. If anyone else has had an SPGS visit, I'd be very grateful for any input on what it is like and what they are looking for.

Well done to your daughter! It's a very low key visit. They basically want to know two things: how much do you need and if they make you an offer will you take it . They already knew where else we had applied and wanted to make sure the offer wasn't wasted I guess. Will it be with the bursar and Ms Frank?

Yes, it is Kate Frank and Barbara Sussex.

Thank you on DD's behalf, though I don't think anything is certain yet! I hope this means we are still in the running though!

Is it usual for academic staff to attend a home visit for a bursary? If anyone knows - please could you share your experience. Many thanks.

We had one academic person and one money person, if it helps at all.
