How would one compare the level of difficulty between the HABBS 11+ & MTS papers?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

HABS just has the one B. Haberdasher Askes Boys School.

I would put them at about the same level although they have a slightly different focus.

Habs has many more applicants so it will be required to get a higher score on their papers.in order to secure an interview DG

Maybe more useful to look at it this way, the prep is the same.

Thank you for the useful info. My DS attempted a couple of the specimen papers. He found HABS a bit more challenging especially the creative writing part and the final questions in the maths paper.

MTS set a General Paper that has no consistent format and is designed to be an equal test for all - it can focus on linguistics, computational skills and ethical problems. In the Maths paper it is vital to show all working as many candidates lose marks without it.

Any feedback back re MTS 11+ exam which was held yesterday? My DS sat the test. He said it was ok. Nothing more.

There will be a back-up day, so I'd hold off discussing the paper just yet.

Has anyone had an email confirmation from MTS for the interview yet? Nervous about it over here... They are sending emails out from today...
