Hello Parents,

What subjects are included in the HABS entrance exam?
My child is preparing for grammer school exam Do I need to do any speific preparation for HABS ?
Any guidance will be very helpful.

Depending on which grammar schools you are looking at, the difficulty of the questions at HABS will probably be at the more difficult end of the spectrum. As you can see from the sample papers for English & Maths, the format is not multiple-choice so different in that respect to many grammar schools. You should confirm the format of the paper at each of the schools you intend to apply to so that your child can practice and be familiar with the formats they will expect to face. In the HABS (& other independent schools) there are often marks for the working out as well as for a correct final question, so a child that has focussed only on multiple choice papers may find it hard to break out of the cycle of just providing the final answer - at least that's what we found with our son!
