is there any clue that we can tell in DD's interviews that she is considered to be given an academic scholarship? e.g. more difficult questions etc.?
thanks.

With reference to St Albans and Habs the academic scholarships tend to go to the girls with the strongest academic performance in the exam papers.

My daughter had interviews at both and they involved puzzle, logic, maths , VR and comprehensions. NLCS was much more involved than STAHS.

I have never known anyone fail the interview stage of STAHS.
It is in only in the last three years that they have even bothered to do a personal interview.
When my dds sat it was just the group task. DG

I know a family who’s child didn’t get offered after interview stage, lovely girl, they said they had bought 260 girls back, this may have included their preps, but I am guessing from these figures not everyone can be offered.

Yes, the preps now do the interviews as well as the exam.
Bringing 260 back is a lot for 100 places. DG

Am I correct in guessing the preps might be 60 girls and I am thinking the make around 140 - 150 offers. The CLSG girls were at the exam and interviews, they could be also included in that number of 250.

WH ,which is the St Albans prep school, has two classes of 24 each so 48 places.
But I know girls who are hoping to go elsewhere; City, Habs and NLCS, so not all of the 48 places will be taken.
