Notting Hill and Ealing vs Queen's College

Post by Yasos »

We are very happy to receive an offer from Queen's College yesterday, however, my daughter's first choice was Notting Hill and Ealing where she is waitlisted. Does anyone know if we can wait till end of February to see if we will get an offer from Notting Hill and Ealing? The registrar advised that she is on the higher part of the list. Does anyone have any experience of places being available from waiting list? And how does these schools compare? Appreciate any input and experience.

Many thanks,

In the past NHEHS has been the more academic of the two.
In the past they only offered to the number of places and so went quite some way down the waiting list, usually in 2 'waves' , one straight after offers and then another on state school allocation day, so if you were high up on the list I would suggest you have a good chance of getting an offer. That said I do not know if they still do it this way so hopefully someone with more recent experience will be along to help soon.

Congratulations either way!
