DD is on the waitlist after CE. Just wondered if anyone else here in the same situation and if you have been notified of any movement? I am in touch with the the school too.

Also, not much on here re WA.. just wondered why?

On speaking to the school they say they replace from the waitlist with a like for like girl that pulled out (sporty, academic etc) so really difficult to ascertain our chances!

They used to have a numbered waitlist, interesting that this has recently changed?

How much do they over offer, I wonder?

In our year there was quite a long waiting list which I didn’t expect.

I was told at an earlier stage my daughter had done well at the initial academic assessment, interview etc, ranked comfortably ahead of others etc and later passed the CE with a good reference from previous school.

She was also asked on a taster boarding weekend for successful applicants & those who had passed the exam, when she’d only been given a wait list place without a good chance of an eventual place at school. (Which wasn’t disclosed at time).

As far as I know this is not something that would happen at Eton etc.
