From Jan 1 2020, gradually phasing to fully co-ed by 2022

That is amazing news.

I hope they will be as successful as Highgate has been with this move.

Will they accept boys into the sixth form in 2020? DG

Very interesting, thanks AML.

It seems single sex education is going out of fashion. St Paul’s boys are likely to admit girls into the Sixth Form soon too.

Letter states:

Jan 2020 - both boys and girls from a new pre-Reception through to year 2
Sept 2020 - boys admitted in to sixth form and into year 3 and 4
Sept 2021 - Years 5 and 6 will also accommodate boys
from sept 2022 - all year groups will become co-ed

No, but co-ed was just one of the things they tried to do to save it.

Peterborough and St Margaret's is another girls' school which closed in the last few years. I think this part of town is saturated with girls' only private schools, so to keep above the competition is tough.
