Hello everyone.
My daughter is going for the WA assessment in 3 weeks and I wondered if anyone else's daughter will be attending too.
Or if anyone has been through the process, I would really appreciate any advise on what to expect and how to prepare, if this is at all possible.
Thank you so much in advance.

Hopefully your daughter had a positive experience today.
The number of girls at the assessment seemed quite low - it looked like no more than 200-250 girls at most.
Any insight from anyone on why such low numbers this year? I thought it would be approx 400 candidates based on prior years. Or is it always about this number?
Thanks!

She said she enjoyed it and it was a lot of fun for her. So keeping our fingers crossed.
Hope your daughter found it ok too.
I'm not sure of the numbers, were you told or did you just estimate the number of girls there?
I guess it would be to our advantage as it'll mean less competition.
Do you know how many girls they'll eventually offer a place?
All the best to your daughter.

The girls all seemed happy and energised when they came out in their groups. It seems to have been a very well coordinated and positive day and really good that they share offers within 2 weeks.
I’m sure at the open day, the deputy head told me there usually are 400 applicants for 100 places so was surprised that there were far fewer at the assessment day. Seemed also to be a high number of local girls vs oversees and wondered if the demographic was changing or Brexit having an impact.
There were 5 groups with no more than 40-50 in each so looks more like 1 out of 2 could receive a conditional offer vs 1 in 4. I think they significantly over offer based on old posts. Unless of course there were girls not at the assessment day but still evaluated.
Beyond chances of an offer, I was just curious if popularity has reduced for whatever reason.
