My DS has been placed on the reserve list for St Albans school. What are the chances of him getting an offer? It is our absolute first choice school.

Send them an email now.
Tell them it is your first choice school and you would immediately accept the offer and pay the deposit today.
When Habs and MTS come out there will be plenty of offers being turned down so be first in line to get one of those offers.
Tell them you are ready to accept now.
They don't know unless you tell them.
Good Luck.

Hi everybody. I hope somebody can help me with some information . My ds passed and was selected for a place at St Albans via email. Once I received the letter it stated that although he had passed he was on a reserve list for the bursary and should anyone decline then we would receive it. Does anyone have any experience with this or have been through it themselves? I'm assuming he wont get it because would a family likely give up a bursary offer ? Any advice is welcome

I know families who have received more than one bursary offer and their student can only attend one school.
This means that bursaries will be returned to the pot and will be redistributed.
Find out where you are on the waiting list for a busary.

Thank you for your response. I emailed them to ask them of our position and apparently we are the only family on the reserve list for a bursary. I think it's because St Albans seems popular that I'm assuming he will miss out now even though we were so close to securing a place.

In my experience applicants either sit Habs and St Albans or Habs and MT.
Only a small handful sit all three and this is because of location.
There will be those who will turn down St Albans for Habs and also some who will turn it down for City as City is easy to get to.
I really hope someone does turn it down so you get the place.
