I have started looking at independent schools in London because of the additional opportunities that they provide over the local state schools, however I would like one that is diverse in both culture and race.

Which of the independent schools in London is the most diverse?
Hi SnowballMum!

Look at a map and find a few private schools your child could travel to easily enough and safely enough. Visit these schools and you will have some idea.

For me, 'diversity' is potentially misleading. There are private schools with, for example, a sizeable portion of non-white pupils where a small group of white pupils still dominates.

I would look for schools with a culture which is open and generous of heart. This type of generosity and kindness are as palpable as they are rare.

By definition, private schools are exclusive and so cannot be properly diverse, whatever the racial heritage of their pupils.
