Independent Schools around Horley for Year 7 onwards
Hi All,
Appreciate if anyone can recommend good independent school around Horley/Redhill/Gatwick area from year 7 onwards. Exploring options for my son who is likely to end up on waiting lists for 2021 entry for the 11 plus grammar school exams he gave over the last few weeks.

Not very familiar with the schools around the areas you mentioned.
I know Bethany and Hawthorns are around there.
You could also try asking parents from your child's school if they have recommendations.
Are you looking at y7 going through all the way to GCSE or will you be considering 13+?
Some prep schools do take boys in y7 and 8 for entry into senior schools at 13+.
However, for the 2021 entry private schools (both 11+ and 13+) have already completed application process and many are in the process of conducting exams. Most independent exams take place by January at the latest.
However try ringing around to see if any are taking late applications.
Hope the wait list brings you better news in 2021. If it is a grammar space you are keen on, maybe you should hold on tight and see if second round of offers come through. Hopefully you have a local school on your CAF.
