The child should be able to talk about a hobby or interest in some detail.

Also it’s likely this pandemic will go on for a while so good online provision is paramount. HBS have done very well theirs.Orangeblossom wrote:There are some people who are lucky enough to have a secure job and find that without normal expenditures on holidays and eating out, they have increased savings and consider private schools now.

No, we weren't offered a meeting, we were just told that we could send a list of questions and that they would answer them as soon as possible.

Re: NLCS numbers this year
Sorry to ask the question again, does anybody know of actual numbers this year? The Habs headmistress told us parents that they were interviewing many more girls this year because “they wanted to give more girls a chance given the interrupted schooling” (which is interesting given how people felt that they were interviewing fewer on other posts).
Does anyone know if NLCS did the same? Would it be a complete no-no to ask for numbers?

You should certainly ask if you are keen to know. I think the thing that it would be good to know is the ratio of interviews to offers so you can have some idea on how likely you are to secure an offer. Interesting to know that HABS girls is interviewing more girls this year. DG

I will contact them on Monday, thanks. Hard to know what to do now that all interviews are over and there are still (just under) two weeks to wait!

Re: NLCS numbers this year
It is a lot shorter wait than the state school wait which is months and months but it will seem long after being busy for such a long period of time. There are still interviews going on. HABS girls have them this week and UCS still have interviews on Saturday and Westminster have interviews on Tuesday.
It is worth watching all the virtual tours and start making notes on pros and cons on schools you are likely to get offers from. HABS boys seem to have done a very impressive virtual tour which is luring boys away from City, MT and St Albans. DG

how do you know this? i realise that those parents who havnt been on a physical tour will find it hard to make choices based on a video.
DG and other parents how do you rate the MTS and St Albans and City virtual online marketing?
