G&L Waiting List

Our DD has gotten a WL offer from G&L. She is gutted but at the same time hopeful that things may move. Is anyone aware of WL movement and chances therein from past years for G&L? This is her first choice. Any guidance appreciated.

It depends how much they have over offered - did they give you any indication of how they manage the wait list at virtual open day? There will be many DD with offers whose preference is SPGS, Latymer Upper or possibly Tiffin Girls - so in the past there has definitely been plenty of movement - but my personal knowledge of this is a few years old when they did not over offer enough so not necessarily helpful. The best thing you can do is call and ask them, making sure at the time of course you let them know they are your first choice.

Thank you mad? for your response. Comforting to hear around past movement - a bit of a black box as things stand given we don't know any specifics around the WL situation in terms of how we are placed but we hope to call and gain clarity. Good luck to all!

Better to email them and put on record that it is your first choice and you would accept any offer immediately.

Your email can make its way to more senior decision makers in the way a phone call can't as it will be blocked by admin.

Yes, a few emails and a few calls, reiterating our full interest and readiness. Hoping for the best for our DD.
