Of course you're not weird. In my opinion - if in doubt do it. But it does depend on the age of your child and a 5 year old in a suit and tie may look a bit odd, and it depends on the suit. A smart tweed jacket or a blazer with a tie is fine too.

Well obviously he's 11+ not 5+ or I wouldn't be posting here! Navy suit, blue shirt and jaunty tie - will be interested to see the others and hope we are not alone in the suit.Still, no harm in being the smartest I suppose.
