Last dates for accepting a private school place?

I was talking state to state but would assume that it would be good practice for any school

Guest 55 - how very interesting that you say that 'most of our strugglers will come from there' (private preps) - of course you are right, our local prep sends 9 out of a class of 13 to the GS, and it's not because the girls there are able, they have just been coached up to the hilt & then struggle when they get to the GS. But why is it so hard for most people to acknowledge this fact?

I think you will find that the intake for the girls grammar I think you are referring to is really mixed. In any exam situation, how ever fair you try to make the test there will always be those who are over tutored. If it makes you feel better nearly every girl in my daughters class got in, and she is in a normal state school.
