We were the same, Muggle. It worked wonders for reading the question properly too: when it became clear that DS had no intention of reading the question properly I made him write out the key words in all the questions. He improved practically overnight!

Not writing in the book also meant that the lady who does my eyebrows could use them with her son. She returned them in exactly the same condition. I then used them with my nephew and now DD is using them. She is allowed to write in them.

Well thankyou very much you lovely kindhearted people :D
I will take note of all you have said and try and incorporate it into our work.

Can't believe I missed the half priced books, boo!

Just a reminder - each area does its 11+ differently. Make sure you are working from the correct books for your area.

FluffyD wrote:Just been to Smiths today and bought the 10-11 Bond- verbal and non verbal, the GL multiple choice verbal and non verbal, also, a spellings and mental maths quickie book.

There were no pack 1 of the GL books so we wont be starting those just yet, I bought the pack 2 and am looking out for the pack 1 in Leeds tomorrow at the bigger Smiths.

Am a little shocked that it came to over £40 for just a few books...
