Hi I am Clarendon's daughter and I sat the test on Tuesday 12th May 2009 and I am in year 6.

Short Writing- The Short Writing was a description of a Busy Place. The options were A Market or A Busy Street or you could choose your own idea.

Long Writing- The Long Writing was a Report on Trainers. Some youths were asked to try out a new brand of trainersfor a week and had to write a report. Some points you could have included were-where they could be improved, good points and special features.

Trust we are able to discuss this.....

The short writing piece was a description of either a market place, a shopping centre or something of your choice. My DD did a beach, her friend did a zoo and a few of the boys did a football match.

The long writing piece was a report on a pair of trainers you were given to try out. Commenting on how good they were for various sports (??), what they were like, how they could be improved ( thrilling ehh!).

Only the calculator maths paper left for tomorrow so almost there!

Anyone know how the writing test is scored; spelling, short writing, long, handwriting etc... and what is given to each?
