Secondary school, first parents' evening of my career, taught 300 or so new different faces ............ wished I'd got photos of the children. I could answer any questions that my marking records helped me with, and certain children stuck in my memory, but ...... did I really have the right childrenin my mind as I spoke about them? I'd have had their name right though as I stuck to the appointment sheet and checked each set of parents was who they should have been.
