Teacher Assessment versus Test Result

We received our son's results today along with his year end report. The teacher's assessment gave him levels 5 in Maths and Science Level 4 in English writing and 5 in reading with an overall level 4 for English. In the test results he got Levels 5 in Maths and Science and level 4 in writing and level 5 in reading with an overall level 5 in English. Hope this makes sense!

Two questions. Firstly has he got 3 level 5s? and secondly does the Teacher's assessment have any bearing on the actaul scores?

Thanks

He's got 3 level 5s

He did better at English on the day than the teacher thought he would - well done him. He's obviously one of the lucky ones who shine at tests!

Well done to your son! You must be really pleased. Are we talking year 5 or 6? Both would be a fantastic result. If it is 6 did he pass 11 plus? Sorry just being nosey!

The test results are counted but both will be communicated to the new school - the FFT [Fischer Family Trust] predictions for KS3 factor in both.

Thanks for the responses. He did pass his 11+ so we are really pleased that he did well in his SATs as well.

Good luck to all the year 6 kids at their new schools in September.

Are key stage 1 results also communicated to the secondary school?
