Not sure if this should go here but wanted to get ideas on how to help DC revise for year 4 exams in June.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking of writing out lots of questions for history, geography and science and using maths and English books for those two subjects. don't want to overload DC but want to ensure good revision.

Thank you.

A few jumbled thoughts:

Is your child at an independent school? (State primaries don't usually have formal end of year exams in history and geography, at least not in our area).

What has the school taught on the subject of preparation for exams? It might be useful to work with this.

June is only a couple of weeks away. For future years, I would suggest that the best form of revision is making sure that your child is secure in their understanding of each topic as they go along, rather than suddenly looking for revision materials / techniques at this stage? What have the teachers told you about this?

I would be tempted to sit down with their exercise books and check their recall of main points in each topic as a starter, paying particular attention to any that you know they had problems with at the time (although one hopes that the teacher will have picked this up and given extra help there con then, rather than waiting to see whether more has sunk in by the end of the year).

I would have conversations with your dd on the topics that she will be tested on.

This is a great way of finding out exactly what she has not retained so you don't waste time revising elements she is already secure with.

She is a lucky girl to have so much support at home. DG

Now I know where I went wrong - I didn't even think of children doing any revision at primary school!

If you must revise, do it casually. There are some brilliant online resources, loads of maths games for instance.
Visit places, play board games.

I presume this is not a state school, doing formal tests at year end. There are lots of ways to do summative assessment other than written testing. I have tested understanding of the conditions for plant growth with drama. It was great fun and I had plenty of evidence.
