I wish your ds all the best. Let's hope it is not too hot for them. I will be interested to hear what the comprehension is this year. DG

Please don't share any details of the tests yet as they can be sat late.

My ds is doing his too. He's very excited about the weather this week as it means playing outside on the grass every afternoon! (all rules relaxed for SATS week  )

Comprehension is like being a detective like Sherlock Holmes and adding up the clues. It is shame when students do not enjoy the challenge of it. I know lots of students who really enjoy it and will be wondering what puzzle they will be faced with. DG

DD has been sick since Saturday so I brought her home after the test. She was familiar with the passage but felt the test was quite time pressured. She did the 11+ a few months ago so was better prepared than most and apparently some children didn't finish. The school has just sent a "do not worry" message.

DD said she finished with 27 seconds to spare!
(Which she used to make sure she'd answered all the questions :))
