Hi, I realise that it’s probably too early to tell but my son is just about to finish year 1. He is secure in all subjects & scored 39/40 in the phonics screening check. He enjoys reading. Is he on the right track? Just to add that he is an August born.

Definitely too early to tell, if DD and her friends were anything to go by. Some of those seen as ‘bright’ didn’t progress at the same speed, and some of those deemed ‘about average’ more than caught up and overtook.
We didn’t know DD was anything like capable of getting into a GS until halfway through year 4.
