KS2 Spelling lists?

Post by Appeal Mum »

Hi,

Can anyone help with a list of words that will be used in KS2 spelling tests?

Or are there no words to go over? Just what they should or shouldn't already know.

I know my youngest has a set of words that they must know at end of KS1 is there the same available for KS2?

Hi SATs student,

We didn't even get a list!

I don't think there is one because had there been I think somebody would have replied.

I think the best thing you can do is get a good night's sleep, staying up revising on a computer all night won't help for tomorrow.

Have lots of slow releasing carbohydrates for breakfast with fresh fruit, plenty of water and you will be on top form!

Sorry for sounding like a mum (That's because I am) but you need to be rested.

Good Luck for tomorrow..

Hi Appeal Mum(sorry if this is the wrong name)
It Depends if Your child was given spelling lists to learn in ks1, if so I Would go over all of them words, Just to refresh there memory. If not there will definatly be words there your child knows, as the words get harder as they go along. If Your Child Wasn't given words to learn I would ask your childs teacher.
Hope this Helps Good Luck! 8)

schools tend to be moving away from set lists of speling. I would try and getthe child to break words down into sounds and then build up again to the word.

Spelling of homonyms such as there, they're and their. sew and so , through and threw etc is useful too. When and where do you use them, what are the different meanings etc.

don't forget irregular spellings
