Thanks to all. Can't quite believe it ourselves!
It is true that we didn't plan to go to a second appeal when we received the phone call saying we were unsuccessful in January. However, the wording of the letter was different to that received for DD1 last year, and references to "insufficient evidence" led us to dig further, just to see mainly if there was anything else we could add.
What we find the most frustrating is that had we not innocently asked for the invig report we would never had known that the exams were disturbed to the extent that they were. Furthermore, it was just a chance conversation with someone who was successful at appeal that turned up the ranking document.
There must be others in our position, and it shouldn't be down to pure chance whether you happen upon vital evidence in this way.

Once again, many thanks. Not sure I will be able to leave the forum yet, am seriously addicted!!!

Don't you dare go anywhere! Your experience is needed here, to inspire countless others to keep on trying. :)

(That's your free time accounted for, for the next few years at least...!)

Hi Bouga

Glad to see you have posted on the thread again! I was bit worried we hadn't heard from you - hoped you hadn;t fortgotten your login in all the excitement

I was driving round Skipton last night and thought I might see a Bougalou celebrating (whatever a celebrating Bougalou looks like???) - Spotted a few of the scantily clad revellers outside strata (surely not ??????).

Herman
