I have great sympathy for your personal circumstances, but for the purposes of an appeal I would suggest the focus needs to be as much as possible on why this would be the right school for your child.

I assume we're talking here about a partially selective school. The best approach is probably to put forward as broad a case as possible as to why this particular school would best meet your child's social and academic needs.

I'm afraid the success rate for some of the foundation schools in your area is not high. No reason not to try, however.

Thank you for forwarding such a detailed explanation of your siutation.

I would also like to express my sincere sympathy for your personal circumstances, especially for the distressing experience you endured last year. Unfortunately I think that aspect of your evidence is not sufficiently recent to be considered relevant at an appeal.

As Etienne says, proving your child's academic suitability for the school is the first priority.

The logistical issues you face could be helpful, and my suggestion is that they would be best expressed by means of comparative "timelines" for the members of your family, demonstrating that only School A is feasible, whereas School B is not. The timelines would need to be absolutely watertight though, because a panel would be scrutinising them very closely.

Let's hope it doesn't come to an appeal though.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my lengthy email and reply.I really hope that he gets a place because if he doesn't, i dont know how i am going to overcome the problem of taking him to other schools.
