The information commisioner - how long do you have to wait?
Well here we are almost one year since our appeal and unsuccesful result. One of our issues was that we were not allowed to see the notes of the appeal. We asked the information commissioner to look at this as we had requested said under the data protection act, hallelujah!! after this amount of time, he/she decided the IAP were wrong.
Sadly though, all he/she does is inform the IAP of their decision, no action is required. Double underlines though procedural error by an inept panel, the ombudsman has also told off, of course not sufficient to cause any prejudice whatsoever - and we appellants are at their mercy. Sorry for the rant, but to be perfectly honest, in Berkshire the system is quite obviously flawed, and folks need to know that because to be forewarned is to be forearmed Not that I'm bitter or anything ......(actually not anymore)...however, just so anyone who is using the information commissioner's office , it might be of interest how long it takes. They did however apologise, knowing we were wanting some action before September last year, but you know how these things are . For goodness sake.
