I agree completely with Geoffrey. Ranked 2 in the OoS, 1:1 recommendation, very high practice paper scores (well beyond the level where standardisation would make the difference between a pass and a fail) and Level 5 SATs.
You have a very strong case indeed, and it would be a travesty if your Appeal doesn't go through. Stop worrying! Come back and tell us how you got on.

Thank you for your reassurance. We have no mitigating circumstances other than nerves and the added pressure that he, like most, had to choose schools prior to sitting the 11+ and he so wants to go to one of the grammar schools - he knew what rested on passing. I am waiting for the school to provide some recent test results which he did well at just to back up high academic ability. I really do think I have become an 11+ bore! Thank you for providing a site where I can air my views!
