help required warwickshire comprehensive

A friend has an appeal hearing in a couple of weeks time and I want to help if I can. Friend lives in Worcestershire and wants to go to oversubscribed Warwickshire secondary school. DC already goes to Warwickshire primary and most of Year 6 going to preferred secondary so DC struggling to come to terms with being the only one going to allocated school.
Any advice on how to structure appeal greatly appreciated.
