Confused??

I have posted some information to the appeals box.

Does this sound odd to anyone else, or is it my mind working overtime?
The more I think about it, the more it concerns me. I can't understand why!

Many Thanks.

You refer to two different appeals. Could you tell me whether those two different appeals were both arranged by the county council?

They haven't necessarily broken any rules, although I think it may have been a bit unwise.

I just don't understand for what reason or in what circumstances this would be???
Would it be acceptable to ask the clerk?

It's all circumstantial, but I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for an explanation and reassurance - on the basis that the process must not only be fair and above board, but ought to be seen to be so.

The fact that they were speaking (quite openly, it would appear) does not in itself break any rules, as far as I can tell. It all hinges on the 'circumstances' and on what was being said.

If you do not get a satisfactory response, you could try the ombudsman's advice line to see what they think.
