questions about the admission authority's case

Post by shreeya »

Hi, just wanted to find out who gets to see the appeal letter that we send to the local authority, prior to the hearing?
We have received information from the school with their reasons for why they are unable to admit an extra child.Tbh when I first read it I was wondering whether there was any point in appealing as their reasons make sense. We have however found a couple of points which we would like to raise to the schools admissions authority.
If the admissions authority get to see our appeals letter in advance then we would rather make the points on the day, so that they can't prepare counter arguments in advance. However we do want the panel to have time to think about the points we will raise against the schools arguments.
Confused about what to do, can you give us any advice?

The appeals administrator/clerk receives your case and the admission authority's case, and then distributes them to all parties (panel, appellant, admission authority) a week or so before the hearing.

If you have any questions about the admission authority's case, you should ask them at stage one of the hearing.
