I don't know jpk, as I said his school doesn't formally do SATs but are aware of the level he is currently at and likely to be at by the end of Y6.
School have just amended his VR CAT to 141, I don't really think there's much more we can do other than send it all off and hope for the best!
Tbh If he doesn't get through review I think I'm at a loss to what you would have to do demonstrate ability otherwise.

Just to update, appeal was successful. Feel so sorry for the children who don't get through - this system sucks.
Thanks again for your help Etienne and Sally-Anne, here's hoping the next one might actually make it through first time. Don't think I could face doing this again.
