Hi,
Sadly received the latter from Bucks CC today that no places are available for our DD at any of the 3 preferred schools( wycombe high, Beaconsfield high, Burnham grammar). Although 2 places offered to sibling /distance category at Wycombe high. Very said for us all.
DD was so hopeful, after passing 12+ that she was going to a Grammar school.
She has done her part now How can we not disappoint her now.
Appel process is so unreliable. Not sure weather we be called for one even.
Has anyone had any luck appealing after passing 12+ for school place?
What are the valid point to put forward for a good appeal in a case like ours?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Chaminda.

Chaminda,

I moved your post here.

A good place to start would be to read the Q&A on oversubscription appeals:

You need to start off the appeal process yourself by contacting the school(s) or Local Authority (your letter from the Local Authority informing you that the places had been refused should tell you who you need to contact) and telling them you wish to appeal.
