Is it worth appealing a score of 96 for slough bc schools

My son received a score of 96 ( standardised ) for his 11 plus exam. I am considering whether an appeal would be appropriate as he faced sudden family problems (background in the appeals inbox) which placed him under great emotional and mental stress. What kind of evidence would I have to provide to show that he was an able child? Would a letter the school suffice?

Have a look at this re evidence recommended :

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeal ... cation#b11" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

obviously the letter may contain some of this but you may have to chase other bits up

An appeal at 96 is a big ask...... you would need evidence of very high ability of a sustained nature and a reason for non performance on the day.
