I wonder if you could help me please as my daughter scored VR 139, NVR 133 and Maths 117. I am looking to appeal but have no real mitigating circumstances. She is currently expected to achieve 5A in all subjects and less than a month after 11+ was graded 5B in maths. I am not sure this is enough and I do know that a head teacher appeal was put in but was not successful. I am appealing in the Kent area. Thank you

Welcome!

I think you should be upfront in saying that you do not know why she underperformed in maths on the day - but would the panel please consider all the alternative evidence of her ability in maths.

The following links may help:

The panel want to see evidence that your child Is of grammar material, so ensure that you have evidence of this. My ds also dropped on maths. However, they asked about reading, outside hobbies, etc, not just maths. As well as academic evidence, I submitted teachers report, copies of work, copies of school certificates etc. Get the teacher inboard ands start gathering evidence.
