Kendrick Appeal.

The full test results for entry to Kendrick in past years (2012 - 2014) have been posted here:

These show (what everyone knows) that previously Kendrick set two NFER tests NVR and VR then took the average of these resulting in a final score recorded to a precision of half marks.

This shows the precision in the results has increased from 0.5 to 0.01. I won't argue that the CEM tests are incapable of measuring candidates to such accuracy because CEM themselves have already done this so very eloquently on page 36 of the report the Sutton Education Trust commissioned them to produce here:

What irony but I guess that makes them game-keeper turned poacher?
I know Reading School have been getting away with this for decades to avoid bothering with the tie-breaker but my understanding is that if Kendrick wanted to make such a radical change to their admissions they should have carried out public consultation first.
It's a bit of a long shot but if anyone living near the school with a very borderline score that would round up rather than round down and was thinking of appealing I'd say that's cast iron grounds for appealing.

This was posted on the (very slender) off-chance that someone else may be in that position. I think anyone who'se appealed would have checked this forum out very carefully but are far less likely to be aware of the impact of the change that Kendrick made.
