I received my son 11 plus reasult and I found out that he didn't make it. The cut off mark was 102 and he got 99.16. It was shocking for all of us, is it worth to appeal. Do we have strong case here even though I live in Andover and the school in salisbury. Please advice.

Welcome to Appeals! :)

Whether or not you have a strong case rather depends on how strong your alternative academic evidence will be:

and on what reasons you can put forward for wanting/needing a place at the school:

You should also investigate the success rate for previous appeals:

Lots of reading to do.

Dear Emanny1, if you read this by any chance I would be interested in know if you did appeal and how you found the process. We got our sons results yesterday and the cut off was 100 he got 99.16!

Many thanks,
