Is there any precedent for a successful appeal at Latymer?

My daughter was invited to the second round but was going through a (verifiably) difficult time personally and performed poorly.

Unfortunately she didn't rank in the top 650. Any suggestions on how to proceed - appeal or walk away?

Further I am surprised at her result - is there any compulsion for Latymer to reveal her mark to me to verify her performance?
