Bucks appeal - use of SATs practice paper results

Hello all
Everyone was most helpful when I was preparing our initial appeal, and now the dreaded day approaches (Tuesday) I have a couple more questions that I hope you can help with.
Basically, how useful are SATs practice papers from Y5 and just recently? He got a 5C in English and 4A in Maths at the end of Y5, and then (rather perversely) 4A in English, 5B in Maths and 4A in Science in the last month. He's still predicted to get all 5s, as he was only a few marks off. So if we declare them all are we going to get awkward questions about the discrepancies between the tests and why the recent ones weren't all 5s? Or if we just take the excellent recent Maths paper will they assume we're hiding something? Or is it all irrelevant as they won't take it into consideration anyway?!
BTW He scored 108/118; we're in Herts so no pre-test predictions to go on, which is why we're desperately looking for the famous "academic evidence"!
