Is this going to be a problem for us please for the school review form?

Our head is "notorious" for not supporting 11+.

We have the form filled in, can anyone interpret it for me?

And tell me if we have a chance please we are out of catchment but within past years placing. Ie they have taken kids in from over 11 miles and we are 6.

am i allowed to put any info here?

She got 120.5 on 11+ exam.

Head has ticked she is suitable for grammar, put 1 in the boxes of grammar ability, and attitude to learning.

she is GDS for reading and writing from year 3 to end year 5.
exp for math.

we have glowing reports for her from the head in our school reports can I attach these?

any info greatly appreciated thanks

Why?

Does it matter with the heads lack of review? Its becky high.

Its the lack of heads review I am interested in.

Is this common?

Because I remember an earlier thread from the summer where distance was marginal.

You were somewhat abrupt in that thread, too.

I'm out.

Edited to add what I wrote back in July in response to your rather rude responses to people trying to help:

Quote:
Yep. And when children narrowly miss out on qualification or place allocation and parents want to go to review, appeal or oversubscription appeal, the knowledge and experience of regular posters will suddenly be in demand and appreciated. When those come around, I nearly always check the previous posts of the OP because I'm not inclined to help people who've been rude or dismissive of well-meant advice.

I am in a panic I dont mean to sound abrupt, or upset 11 royalty

I dont understand about marginal distance?

I have looked into distance etc. I am not worried about distance.

I am asking about the head teachers lack of comment and whether that impacts or not - if anyone knows?

I have recently been bereaved and I really dont want any more unpleasant remarks I just want some plain direct advice on the heads lack of remarks.

If there is some unknown correlation between the heads remarks and the distance however I would be pleased to be enlightened.

There was a discussion about section 6 in this thread:

You could - but it depends what the glowing comments are about. Academic ability?

If they're about her good character, hard work, and sporting achievements, it would be a waste of the panel's time because the only issue is academic ability.

In that case I am genuinely sorry for your recent loss.

ETTIENE

Thank you.

:D

In references for work - a plain reference can mean bad things because legally they cant give bad ref. So I wondered if blank boxes are seen as that sort of thing? The head confirms academic ability I think but doesn't actually write a word about the child?

On her reports we have comments like " outstanding pupil" "achieves excellently", "excellent attitude" , "she will do very well academically", role model, assets to her class, etc????

Hmmm

Just read through that thread Etienne.

:( The heads seem to mostly give support comments.

How on earth can it be explained that our head "doesn't do reports on box 6"- rather than - she just didn't do one for my dd. I think all I can do is state this and put in her past comments from her report. Parents did warn me about this but didnt specify she just doesnt write a word.

My reasoning is they may not be relevant but at least the panel can see the anomaly with the box left blank but glowing reviews!
