My DD passed Wallington HSG, Surrey but did not get a place 'cause she is out of the area

DD mark 352 (lives 6.9km from front school gate)
Girls in area (within 5.25km of school gate) admitted on 331

Mark required for 50 girls outside the area to secure a place 375

Intake 180 girls

She did not finish VR paper and left 12 questions as she is not used to VR papers but I am assuming she did well in Maths.

Does she stand a chance if we appeal?

Any extenuating circumstances? What did last years panel allow?

Being a pedant, Surrey County Council stopped the 11+ in 1975 for the 1976 intake, so Wallington isn't in the administrative county of Surrey  Hence Dorking County Grammar School is now The Ashcombe School, and Reigate Grammar is a private school.

I am sorry, I meant Sutton, not Surrey.
No extenuating circumstances, just feel that since she passed she deserves a place. I would have to think more about this, of course and how I would approach it on appeal, but I wanted to guage if there was any chance at Wallington, or if anyone had been successful based on similar marks.
