Hi,

New user here, searching for some guidance on likelihood and probability of success of our SR. Son just scored 120.75 in Bucks 11+, with his VR (pass) score lower than expected (losing 6Qs etc etc). We’re going for SR with the schools support.

However, HT had rated him as 3:3, which is causing a little bit of stress...

Welcome! :)

Headteachers are asked to explain any "reservations" on their review form.
Do you know what reasons the headteacher has for giving a '3' ?

What are the predictions for reading, writing & maths at KS2?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Predicted to be “working at” in a high achieving school, so perhaps suffering by comparison? Test scores generally good with outbreaks of greater depth.

The 11+ saw passes in both VR (although lower than anticipated) and Maths with a near miss on non-VR.

In terms of “suitable, with reservations”, the main theme was inconsistent focus. The HT has said they’ll be supportive of the SR.

They're likely to be looking for 111-120 and GDS.
See E32(b):

But these are meant to be national standards.

Or is this a private school?

I can see that would affect the attitude grade. Not clear why it would affect academic potential, though.

It depends how strongly.

Not private, just your normal state junior school, but with a high pass rate.
