Bucks SR - error on Headteachers form?

We are applying for a selection review for our son, with the support of his school.

Today we received the Headteachers Summary Sheet sent to us via the Council’s Admission Office.

In section 6 - Headteacher’s Additional Information the school have stated that he has made good progress “reflected in his predictions of GDS in Reading, Writing and Maths at the end of year 6”. And I was also told at the meeting with the Head that his predictions for the end of year 6 were “GDS across the board”.

However, in Section 3 - Progress Chart his predicted performance for July 2020 is Reading 111-120, Writing GDS, Mathematics 111-120.

Can anyone lplease let me know if I correct in thinking that the 111-120 refers to a scale of EXS, rather than GDS? And is not ‘as good’ as a straight GDS. And that this does not reflect their stated predictions of GDS across the board?

Thanks.

Welcome! :)

Don't worry - something within the range 111-120 is the highest scaled score you can have for Reading and Maths.

GDS is only used for Writing at KS2.
