Should we appeal? (glos.)
DD sat the late exam and scored within the 150 required by the school. She is now 1st in the WL.
She did not sit the exam back in September due to personal circumstances.
I am now wondering should I appeal or not? What are the chances that she will not be offered a place, being 1st on the list?

Your chances depend on whether your reasons for wanting or needing a place are sufficient to outweigh any prejudice to the school if they have to admit an extra pupil.

The appeal system uses very different criteria. The panel cannot take account of where you are on the waiting list...... being 1st on the list?
