Good news!

After our disappointments at appeal, made the decision to enter DD for entrance exam at an undersubscribed independent school. - obviously asked her first and she wanted to try. Had approx 1 week to practice for tests - English Maths and VR (which incidentally she seemed to have forgotten all the techniques), didn't say anything on here as didn't want to tempt fate. She took it this morning and this afternoon was told she had passed and an offer letter is in the post.
So she will be attending a GS this September after all.
Am very relieved.

So glad to hear that you've found a solution to your childs schooling - I hope you get a good nights sleep and can start to get back to normality!
When my DD was offered a place (after a fight!), I was so relieved and I can honestly say that I've been floating on clouds ever since!
