Appeal Decisions

Post by melinda »

Just out of interest I wondered how long people must wait to have their appeal decision?
I know someone who had their appeal last week and have to wait another three/four weeks for the results? I thought they only took a few days.

Seems stressful enough without having to wait for an answer.

Decision letters should normally be sent out within a week.

However, when a panel is hearing a batch of oversubscription appeals for the same school, no decisions can be taken in this situation until the very end, so the decision letters should be sent within one week of the last appeal.

Dear Melinda

Good luck with the outcome. I was told at my appeal that I could ring on a certain date and that the appeal letter would follow 'x' number of days afterwards. Perhaps you could ask if this is the case for your situation.

I found the wait agonising.

I wish you well.

regards

thanks for your kind words but I'm not going through the agony of an appeal myself! I have a friend who is in that situation and her daughter has been very stressed by the whole situation, that's what seems so cruel. All the classmates are excitedly talking about their new schools and she has no idea where she is going to be.

Anyway, best of luck to all.
